Welcome to your holiday in South Tyrol – Welcome to our apartments in Postal / Lana near Merano. Our farm Feldererhof is surrounded by the apple orchard we cultivate ourselves. But we are not only connected to nature: you can find restaurants, pizzerias, cafés and a large playground in close vicinity. A bus stop and also the train station are only 500 m away. There is also a bicycle path passing by the farm that leads to Lana (5 minutes by bike) and Meran (around 25 minutes).

What our guests like

Our guests especially appreciate the location of our farm: the bicycle path bypasses the house, the large public outdoor swimming pools in Lana are only 800 meters away and it takes only 10 minutes to get to the aerial tramway that connects you to the hiking area. Another plus is the sustainable construction of our house with its natural and environmentally conscious materials. Also most guests enjoy relaxing in the tranquility of our garden. Various games or nice chats (in South Tyrolean: “Ratscher”) with the family can also sweeten your day.

Your host family Unterhauser 

We, Theo and Edith with the sons Andreas and Kurt, live and manage the Feldererhof in the second generation. The farm-stead including the apartments were newly built in 1993. We cultivate our fields with many delicious varieties of apples: Gala, Braeburn, Red Delicious, Golden, Granny Smith, Fuji and Pink Lady. Theo works primarily in agriculture, whereas Edith is responsible for the well-being of our guests and the meals for the family and the farm hands. Andreas is living and working in Germany and Kurt is studying in Bolzano. Whenever it is possible they help their parents.

Experience Feldererhof

Guided tour on our farm: We are happy to show you our farm and its apple orchards nearby and to explain the most important parts of our work in the field.

Fruits, vegetables and herbs: We offer seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs from our orchards and garden.

If you are interested you are welcome to have an excursion with us. We would like to show you some of our more distant orchards and take a break at the biotope. This can be done on foot or by bike.

On the rare occasion of a rainy day there is a chance to cook and bake some of our favourite dishes together, e.g. dumplings with bacon, apple strudel, homemade bread, pizza or something else.

These activities are offered weekly, all around the year and upon consultation.
